May not be problem!: First, whether you even need to lower your cholesterol depends on the subtypes. If you have high HDL and your LDL is below 130 you may not need to lower it at all. Statins like Lipitor (atorvastatin) can be hazardous and have no proven benefit for women! Many foods can lower cholesterol- reducing sugars and starches while adding avocado, beans, garlic, almonds, walnuts, oats and wild salmon help. See comment:
