Eczema on finger for yrs, recent mths spread, worse, and to finger next to it; very itchy, topical cortisol creams dont really help. what else to try?

Reduce stress levels: is important with eczema as it's an inflammatory condition.Tthat's priority number #1. Then make sure you aren't using non organic soaps. Harsh antibacterial soaps & cleansers will irritate already sensitive fingers. Don't use static cling-free wipes in dryer as that affects your whole body. If not bleeding, try raw, virgin coconut oil. Change ur diet off fried, processed or sugary foods &, sodas.

Dyshidrotic eczema: I agree. Cold compresses help. Prescription grade topical steroid ointment will likely be needed for better long term control. "Dyshidrosis" refers to the observation that the rash is sometimes associated with sweat-gland abnormalities, and this relation may have neural source. Thus, controlling emotional stress triggers is probably more effective for dyshidrotic eczema than the garden variety
