Talk therapy: You may be thinking too much. From your questions it seems you are searching hard for facts and information. It's not unusual to lose touch w/ feelings when you do that. But it's not an easy pattern to change alone because fear may be the 1st one you feel. A good therapist can support you through the hard ones until you get confience.
