I had a HIV risk exposure on 16 Sep. Start PEP on 18 Sep (50 hours). PEP 30days ends on 17 Oct. I had HIV PCR RNA Qualitative test HIV-1 not detected on 10 Dec and Alere Early Detect test kit negative 14 Dec. Is the result conclusive Im HIV free?
Can hiv-1 pcr test detect infection for hiv-2 too? because in my country there is only a pcr test for hiv-1 only, is the hiv pcr test done 30 days after exposure is conclusive both for hiv-1 and hiv-2?
