No RNA test needed: This partly duplicates your earlier question. Your negative EIA alone proves conclusively you don't have HIV from your distant past exposure. RNA testing normally is done only when there is concern about early infection, before antibody appears (e.g. exposure within past 4-6 weeks or symptoms of acute HIV infection) and in known-infected persons to measure viral load. Don't waste money on it.
