Pretty standard: The dosing of this drug for otitis is supposed to be higher than for some issues like a bladder infection or pneumonia. Dosing depends on the space involved with the infection, blood flow, and the type of germ.The most common germ in ear infections has partial resistance to lower doses,but the higher dosing works quite well.

Dosing: Not high. Amoxicillin can be administered in a dose as high as 90mg/kg given twice daily. This sounds like the correct dose for her. Check her weight and you should be able to calculate her dose. All the best.
