Blockage?: A blockage of the bile duct, from a stone or mass or injury to the bile duct, can cause dark urine. If your duct has already been cleared at operation, it may take a few days to resolve.

See below: There may or may not be a problem. First make sure you are drinking enough water and other fluids to assure that this is not due to dehydration. If this does not clear up rapidly contact you doctor and have them run a metabolic panel to check your bilirubin and other liver and bile duct - related labs. In any event, discuss this with your surgeon soon.

Bile?: one worries about bile in the urine which can be a sign of bile duct obstruction. Usually you would have a lot more symptoms ( pain, fevers, jaundice etc.) Still, a urinalysis and some blood tests will help you be sure. See your surgeon for tests
