My 9 month old, formula fed son has had diarrhea for 4days. unsure if gastro or reaction to food given at childcare. would lactose-free formula help?

Sometimes: One of the first effects diarrhea can have is to reduce a babies ability to absorb lactose. Sometimes a lactose formula for a week or so will allow the gut to stabilize and return to normal absorption.
