Unlikely: if you are coughing then yes it's possible it could be in your lungs. Sometimes when you have trouble swallowing a dry pill you get a little scratch on your esophagus and this could give a sensation like it's still there. See a physician should the symptoms persist or if you have a cough that won't stop.
