Would a hiatal hernia show up on a chest ct scan that was looking at my lungs? the top of my kidneys were visualized in this ct scan. would an ultrasound be an option to find out if i have a hiatal hernia instead of a barium swallow or endoscopy?

Visualization of an organ depends whether it is included in the field being used for a a test. Instead of self diagnosis tell your MD of your concern and an appropriate test will be ordered.Ultrasound can but is not the best option.
