Fever: continue the antibiotic till it is gone. Use motrin and tylenol (acetaminophen) for the ear pain and fever. follow up with doctor if no better or schedule a virtual consult.

See doctor again: 8 months old child with fever more than a week and fever not down with Cefdinir for 3 days and pulling ears. It is time to see the doctor again. A good exam and possibly more blood tests maybe very helpful to treat your child illness.
