More than strep: The doctor treated you for a (R) otitis media(ear infection) with an acute pharyngitis(sore throat) that possibly was strep. Next symptoms might be a Tonsillitis or a refractory ear infection that involves the estuation tube. Might benefit from increased humidification , decongestants, but they help a little. Best treatment would be a short course of oral steroids to drain better.
