About

Bio

I am a family doctor who has practiced over 30 years , starting as a solo doctor and continued to evolve into a 6 doctor practice for 25 years, plus recently have worked in different venues. I have worked in Urgent care , Occupational Medicine doing work physicals , Outpatient clinics, and finally doing house calls on many of my past patients. I probably did more mental health than most psychiatrists over the years , since most patients have some form of stress related physical problems, such as Hypertension; IBS; Fibromyalgia; Headaches , just to name a few. I have asked 2 questions the past 30 years and rarely do I get a positive response. They are : 1) Do you know anyone who isn't stressed ? 2) When was your last Relaxing Vacation ? Patients know their stressed , but, unfortunately most doctors don't embrace mental health , since they are so dependent on Lab + radiology to make a diagnosis. And fearful of lawsuits. That is why many go to alternative carte, such as massage, yoga, chiropractic care Also , I am somewhat an unofficial expert on Adult ADD , lessons learned both professionally and personally. I have paid the price for thinking outside the box, not due to medical problems, just due to the politics and power of healthcare versus me as a family doc. I have had national experts support me and never had any malpractice negative lawsuits, but the powers to be don't care. Shame, it is all about productivity , and not about quality care for the patient. Still, my patients have always been thrilled with my approach, so I will keep on doing what I am doing and being a Dinosaur in this corporate driven health care of patients.
