Possible blood clot: Procedures such as knee arthroscopy may predispose to DVT or deep venous thrombosis, or blood clots. These clots are very life -threatening if they embolize to the lungs. Please go to the nearest ER and ask them to do an ultrasound of your leg and let your doctor know. Please do not procrastinate as the treatment is very effective if diagnosed early. Hope you get well.

Leg swelling: Leg swelling after surgery on the leg, like a knee scope, can be due to a venous blood clot. Your surgeon took precautions to lower risk for clot. However with swelling, you need an Ultrasound to look for clot, DVT. If a diagnosis is made, you will be treated to LOWER risk for advancing clot. Go in, take a friend, notify your surgeon. Be well.
