Deep cleaning : To prevent endocarditis and other heart complications, patients with heart valve replacement receive a single dose of an antibiotic for prophylaxis. Deep cleaning is good to prevent future cardiovascular disease. Good luck.

Heart valves: For a patient with a heart valve replacement they are considered at risk for bacteria endocarditis so your dentist should prescribe an antibiotic for you to take one hour before the visit (Amoxicillin 2 grams or Clindamycin 600 mg if you are allergic to Penicillin) and spread your dental visits at least 2 weeks apart. Do as much as you can tolerate during each appointment.
