Call your doc & ask: If you are on methylprednisolone, it implies that you have already seen a doc for this who will have more information for you. This drug is a steroid which is used for reduction of inflammation. Thick mucous could represent an infection that may need antibiotic treatment. Look for signs of infection--fever (above 100.4F), feeling tired, disoriented, or being sick for a long time.

Sinus congestion?: Try irrigation with saline using a Neti-pot (see your friendly pharmacist), along with a decongestant and if this does not improve things you can then see somebody. Good luck.
