A member asked:

Was sick. went to doc. took azythromycin and oxycodone. blew nose too hard. have slight ringing, muffled hearing in one ear 4 days and can't "pop" it.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tha'r She Blows!!!!!: This is very common: blowing air back into your ear when blowing your nose but the overall congestion won't allow it to escape. Then after a while some fluid can collect, and then if that hangs out long enough it can become infected. If the fluid or air can be removed with decongestants you'll feel better. And be careful blowing the nose: gently, one nostril at a time. chewing gum may help too.
