Surgery ?: All surgical procedure can have complication. If conservative treatment is doing the job , u don't need surgery.See an orthopedic physician for evaluation and work up.

Yes: Chronological age is only one factor. Biological age, meaning how healthy you are is probably just as important. If you have health issues such as heart disease or diabetes it increases risk.
