Barely Visible : David if the infection has resolved after antibiotics they should be barely visible. The tonsils are lymphatic issue and they help the body fight off infection. You need an exam, throat culture and blood work. Also a MONOSPOT test and evaluation for mono. If the tonsil remains enlarged and full , you may have tonsilar crypt trapping or chronic tonsillitis both of these would benefit from an ENT .

May be normal : some people just have large tonsils. Some have one a little larger than the other. But this is normal for them. If you're not having sore throat, difficulty swallowing, difficulty speaking, bad breath, I would not be worried. If any of these symptoms, please see your doctor. Hope this was helpful.Best of luck.
