A member asked:

I have a question for you. why don't we percieve time when we sleep ? could we say that consciousness is out of "time" during sleep ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

??: We perceive the passage of time through our senses. Since sensory perception is attenuated during sleep, we don't "sense" the passage of time. Its like a video camera. When it is on, there is a record of the passing of time. But when you turn it off, it is no longer useful for measuring the passage of time. Best wishes!
