How come it seems easier to pass wind when lying down? sitting and standing, walking etc makes my tummy hurt but once i lie down it can pass. why?

Gas rises : Gas rises so when you're in an upright position it takes a lot more force to get it out. Once you lie down the gas redistributes and is in a better position to pass.
