Likely benign: Atelectasis is under inflation of lung tissue usually due to not taking a big breath. Perihilar means around the root of the lung where the large airways and blood vessels are. Mediastinum is the "middle space" between the two cavities where the lungs are. This space is occupied but the thymus gland, heart, great vessels, airways and esophagus: from front to back.
