A member asked:

Is a negative hiv rna test conclusive at 6 weeks ?thanks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nearly so: A negative HIV nucleic acid test at 3 months would be conclusive. A negative result at 6 weeks should be repeated in 6 weeks to make sure. See this site for more info on this topic. http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/basics/testing.html
