A member asked:

I have a positive dna (ds) antibody test and a negative ana test. segmented neutrophils high and lymphocytes low. extreme fatigue, no malar rash.

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Ronald Krauser answered

Unrelated: Fatigue alone is not lupus. A DNA alone is not diagnostic.

I have positive ANA and high ESR over the past 5 years. I have joint and muscular pain with chronic fatigue and malar rash when exposed to the sun for long. Is it enough to be diagnosed with SLE? No other test came positive(ENA etc?
ana that went from 1:80 to 1:160 within a month. Neg-other antibodies, on and off flares, joint pain, chest/face rashes, fatigue, cough, chest pain?
I have recurring flares of rashes, joint pain, muscle aches, debilitating fatigue, dizziness. I have photosensitity and one episode of my WBC at 2.0 years back. My ANA is 6:40. I'm on plaquenil. Why are all my other antibodies neg for lupus?
I had a positive ana, double stranded dna, and I believe smith's antibodies. I also had a butterfly rash at the time. Besides lupus, what could it be?
