After retinal tear: repair, an individual should usually be able to resume normal activity once cleared by your retina surgeon. Retinal tears are usually repaired by either laser, cryotherapy, pneumatically or through surgical intervention. It is best not to place undue pressure on the eye itself. Most importantly, your retina specialist will let you know once it is healed and normal activity can resume.

Usually no: it is hard to imagine a type of massage that would cause problems with a recently repaired retinal tear. To be safe, make sure the treating retina specialist is OK with the activity, s/he knows best about the details of the tear and treatment. In general, adequate healing of a tear treated with laser or cryo should occur within 10-14 days.
