Had cryopexy retina repair surgery thursday and a recheck today. was needing a -.75 contact lens in that eye before the tear and surgery and now reading 20/20 with no correction at all. how did that happen? shortening the axis or maybe temp swelling?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It could be temporary from corneal change. Your retina surgeon will tell you when your regular ophthalmologist should recheck your eyesight as part of a postop checkup. He/she will let you know, only after full healing, whether you're back to nearsightedness.
