Molar extraction: The worse the initial infection, the longer it will take to heal. The best thing you can do is follow the post-op advice of your surgeon, and return as directed for your post-op examination.

Give it time: Could take a week or so. Prescribed antibiotics, if any, should be taken. Cold compresses may help. Do not apply heat. If not better in 2-3 days, see the dentist who did the extraction.
