Molar extraction: The worse the initial infection, the longer it will take to heal. The best thing you can do is follow the post-op advice of your surgeon, and return as directed for your post-op examination.

Give it time: Could take a week or so. Prescribed antibiotics, if any, should be taken. Cold compresses may help. Do not apply heat. If not better in 2-3 days, see the dentist who did the extraction.

Maximum 2-3 days: It is common to experience pain and swelling after tooth extraction. It may last for 2-3 days. If you experience severe pain or swelling 3 days after tooth removal, visit your dentist to rule out any complications
