6 weeks or more: Recovery depends on how complicated the surgery is. Small diverticulae can be easily removed. Large can be more complicated and result in some stress incontinenece. Discuss this with your surgeon. Never, never, never be afraid to ask questions.Its your body! if you are not getting answers then its time for a second opinion.
