I have had recurrent inflamed papillae that move around only tongue the past two months, enlarged circumvallate papillae that do not hurt but i can feel them on the back of my throat and a chronic red throat but again not painful. these inflamed tastebuds

See your dentist: for further evaluation especially since it had been recurring for over 2 weeks. There is a special oral screening device to determine your condition. Based on the findings , you may need to be referred to as an oral surgeon, an EENT,..depending on the complexity of the case.

Normal anatomy: Circumvallate papillae are they large taste buds on the tongue. They are a normal anatomical structures of your tongue and do not go away. Hope it helps.
