Probably not: Often running a piece of dental floss across the tongue will remove this debris. If so, and if it isn't uncomfortable, it's probably not thrush / candida. Your physician would have recognized oral thrush as well. Don't make too much out of tongue signs -- they're famously nonspecific and often (usually) mean nothing.
