The front of neck itchy and painful,inside of throat in back really red and inflamed,have a sore on roof of mouth.should i be concerned?could this be a cold or something much worse like throat cancer? no fever and otherwise ok?

You should have this evaluated-it certainly could be a benign process, like an infection, but the only way to know for sure is to have it evaluated. If it is an infection, it will need treatment so see your doctor for evaluation/treatment. You may need to see an ear, nose and throat doctor, especially if it does not improve with treatment.
