Chiropratic: It works as long as you can pay.

Hard to Say: Everyone has different experiences with chiropractic manipulation. Recent studies however do not show any improvement in time related to chiropractic care versus traditional medical care for back pain and other musculoskeletal issues.

Depends on Condition: Considering the conditions you noted, including pain shooting down the leg one might suspect a bulged or herniated disc. These conditions tend to take longer than others. If some relief is not noticed in 6 visits, I would ask your Doctor of Chiropractic to re-evaluate and consider other chiropractic techniques, rehab and modalities which may be more beneficial for you.

Possible: Many times conservative care can include chiropractic care. if you are not better soon (less than 10-15 treatments), then consider other options like a spine fellowship trained pain specialist.

It doesn't : It came from the 'spirit world ' to DD Palmer a failed faith healer who claimed to cure deafness by adjusting the spine. He apparently believed he could cure all disease by manipulating imagined misalignments of the spine. The best part is .... people believed him. And now there are millions (if not billions) of dollars spent annually on manipulation making chiropractors rich, and pts frustrated
