Need to review Patho: There is no such thing as a grade on moles. Mole can be cancerous in which case it is called melanoma. Melanoma is staged by measurement of its thickness(in millimeters) or depth of penetration under the skin. You need to ask your doctor what it is exactly: Benign mole or Melanoma? which by definition is a form of cancer.
