Possible: It sounds like you may have cellulitis or an abscess of your toe. Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is a good antibiotic that may treat these illnesses. Although the bacteria in your toe may not be susceptible to augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) and may require a different antibiotic. We can usually find out with a culture of the infection on your toe. There are better antibiotics for cellulitis or abscesses usually. See a local urgent care
