My mom has these strange "spells" i think they're seizures but her eeg's are normal, what could it be?

Tough to say: Unless we know what the "spells" are it is tough to say or essentially guess. If she is 80 yo, it could be small TIA's, (a type of mini-stroke) she is having for example. Be sure to have her Primary Dr. evaluate her and tell them her exact symptoms and what occurs during these "spells" so they can diagnose her with the most plausible cause. Best wishes.

See specialists: may need cerebral venogram, not all seizure disorders are seen on EEG unless episode occurs while the EEG is being recorded. Need to detrmine of "spells" are neural or vascular or combination of both. Any autoimmune disorders?...
