Ibuprofen: Can use over the counter anti-inflammatory, whichever is right for your age/weight, should improve over the next day or two.

Call: Call your orthodontic specialist for advice. You should be in moderate discomfort for a few days, not frank pain. In the meantime 1 200mg Ibuprofen every 4 hours with lots of food or liquids. Rinse 3x/day w 1 tsp salt in 8 oz warm water...Swish and spit out. Dab orabase-b onto sore spots. Ask orthodontist for wax to cover "stickers." soft high-protein diet. Keep everything clean.
