Yes: Humidifiers can help infants with a cough, because you are right, they are too young for for any cough medicine. You should be sure to also check her temperature, if it is 100.4 or greater you should take her to the ER because fevers in an infant 28 days and younger needs to be admitted to the hospital. Ensure she is still breastfeeding and urinating regularly, if not, alert your doctor.

Needs check up: A 2 week old baby should be sneezing and hiccupping, but not coughing. A vaporizer will help with a stuffy nose, but a bad cough in a small baby can be more serious. Bronchiolitis is a wheezing illness that needs to be seen by a doctor. An important sign of having trouble breathing is if she is not feeding well. Any fever in a baby less than 2 months old also needs to see a doctor.
