Yes!: Small hard lozenges/candies are a high risk for accidental chocking at this age. Mgt: Identifying the underlying cause of the cough and treating it is advised. If it is due to post nasal drip, then nasal saline and gentle suction may be used. If there is a bacterial illness of the respiratory tract, an antibiotic(s) are indicated.
