I normally have menstrual period for 4 days but its the 9th day now and it is not stopping. what might be the problem? and how do i stop it??

Irregular Menses: I always tell my patients it is never abnormal to have ONE abnormal cycle but if it continues, a work up is indicated. I would not try to stop the cycle but let your body stop because adding hormones can make things worse. If you are bleeding so much that you are going through a lot of pads however, I would get seen by a professional.
