Depends: Hypothyroidism is of concern in pregnancy if it is not diagnosed and treated. Anti thyroid antibodies, if present, can cross the placenta and effect the developing fetal thyroid. Diagnosis and treatment can provide protection for the baby. Hope this helps. Best wishes to you and your baby.
