Water/calories: It is possible to lose 1-2 pounds a week. Drink plenty of water and do not cut your calories below 1200 calories a day. If you go below that you can start breaking down muscle instead of fat and that is not healthy. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and exercise at least 30 minutes every day. Good luck.
