Can be: Depending on the condition of the tooth at the start it may be perfectly normal. It might take another week before it feels "normal". Be sure that you get the crown soon and that in the meantime it is not hitting too hard against the teeth in the opposite jaw. If uncertain, call your Dentist. Good Luck.

It's not uncommon: The most common source of pain after root canal treatment is inflammation of the tissues that surround the tooth's root. Take Motrin or Tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain control and you should always feel free to contact your dentist.
