Obstruction?: Perhaps there is an obstruction to the tube. Have visiting nurse do an assess & flush & follow her recommendations. If flush doesn't work & the problem persists, then report it to Mom's treating physician. Also, if any signs of distress, like new breathing difficulties, tightness or tenderness in the abdomen, then report that immediately too, as it may signal need for urgent measures.
