Do deglycyrrhized licorice (dgl) and zinc carnosine (polaprezinc in japan) work for treating acid reflux and gerd?

Unknown.: There are not good human studies for either one of them to be able to assess their effect on G.I. diseases. There do not seem to be bad side effects for zinc carnosine. It is less clear for DGL. It can have bad interactions with other medications and other supplements. If you want to take either of these, discuss it with your doctor first. Good luck.
