Why specialist: This is a common enough issue that most GP's or Family docs have both the training & experience needed to sort this out. If they think your specific case needs more than they can do they will know who in your area you need to see.

Start with your doc: Best would be to start with your primary care doc who can involve a gastroenterologist in case needed.
