GERD: There are 2 basic types of meds OTC that can be used for reflux symptoms. Famotidine especially at bedtime once daily up to 40mg daily. The other class of meds are proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole that are dosed once or twice daily. If doses reach 40mg daily you should consult your doc.
