Slight: Since Bentyl (dicyclomine) is an antispasmodic, constipation can certainly be a side effect but taken at low doses, this is a rare occurrence.

Constipation is: a known potential side effect of dicyclomine. It should be used only as needed and not on a regular basis like blood pressure or diabetic medications.

Possible: Patients taking Bentyl may have adverse effects. While highly unlikely, constipation is one of the reported side effects to the medication.
