If you have an urge for a BM but can't move your bowels you must work from below starting with glycerin rectal suppositories or inserting A dulcolax suppository. If no results insert a fleets enema gently. If you have no urge, take a bowel stimulant like senokotS daily according to instructions. If you need to, take a laxative but avoid chronic use.
