A member asked:

Been going on 4 over a yr. severe pain attacks upper gi showed chronic inflammation colonscopy normal ultrasound-inflammed walls hidascan ef 94% help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

CT or MMI needed: If GI series showed chronic inflammation, pathology is in upper GI since colonoscopy negative. With normal EF there is no GB problem unless hepatic calculi passing to cause severe intermittent pain. Could have localized perforation of bowel with abscess but all potential causes need visualization by abdominal CT or MRI.
