Probably nothing: When one has blood in stool is it bright red or only found on guaiac stool analysis. Trace amts of blood can come from internal hemorrhoids or fissure which are too low to be seen on colonoscopy. Without a lesion seen on scoping and mild proctitis, irritation could produce some trace amount of blood in stool. One can however state that there is no cancer and therefore not the possible cause.

No: I suspect this is a mechanical process causing a bit of inflammation and tissue injury. We're not going to do anything when the biopsy is normal and there's no mass lesion. If your physician is agreeable, a diet with some more fiber might help.
